Quick guide: Cruises & Sunsets

Sailing the bay is one of the best evening plans in Cartagena: you see the walled city and Bocagrande from the water as the sun goes down, with an open bar or dinner on board. Every cruise leaves from the La Bodeguita pier, Gate 4, in the historic center.

Sunset cruises

They leave between 4:20 and 4:30 p.m. and last 1½ to 2 hours, timed for the sunset. All include an open bar: Cuba libre and rum punch on Sibarita Express, plus domestic beers and wine on Sibarita Master, and selected drinks on Flamante. From $115,000 COP per person.

Dinner cruises

Dinner cruises leave at 6:30 p.m. and return around 9:00 p.m. They offer a three- or four-course menu with wine, plus an adults-only Premium option with seafood and lobster. From $200,000 to $320,000 COP per person.

Operating days and children

Each plan runs on different days of the week (for example, the Sibarita Express sunset runs Tuesday to Sunday and the Sibarita Master sunset Wednesday to Monday); check the days on each tour. Most welcome children with a child rate (ages 4 to 11 on Sibarita and 5 to 12 on Flamante); the Premium Dinner is adults only.
